📝 EMR Program Overview & Prerequisites
This is a certification course designed to provide basic first responder knowledge prior to taking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course.

Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources. They assist higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies and during transport. EMRs are a vital part of the comprehensive EMS response, performing basic interventions with minimal equipment under medical oversight.

Before registering, please ensure the following prerequisites are met:
✅ High School Diploma or GED
✅ 18+ years old by the start of the course
✅ Pass a background check (no felony convictions)
✅ Provide up-to-date vaccination records (LifeLine form will be provided)

Refund Policy: If enrollment is canceled within one week prior to the course start date, $250.00 of the tuition is non-refundable.

Note*: Holding an EMR License does not qualify you to work on an ambulance at LifeLine Ambulance. You must be a licensed Emergency Medical Technician to work on an ambulance with our organization.
