π Introduction
The Critical Care Transport (CCT) Course is designed exclusively for Paramedics, Registered Nurses (RNs), and other higher-level certified clinicians who are seeking to advance their knowledge and skills in the care of critically ill patients during transport.
CCT — sometimes referred to as Specialty Care Transport (SCT) — provides a higher level of care during the transfer of critically ill patients, typically between healthcare facilities. The scope of practice for Critical Care Transport Professionals (CCTPs) significantly exceeds traditional paramedic or RN training, as defined by federal and state authorities.
While most CCTP students are paramedics or registered nurses, the course is also open to respiratory therapists, physicians, perfusionists, and other healthcare professionals who meet the prerequisites.
π Course Overview
This comprehensive CCT course prepares students to deliver intensive care-level treatment during transport for patients of all ages, from neonates to adults. The curriculum focuses on:

Use of mechanical ventilators

Invasive and noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring
